Janet, It appears that instead of dealing with issues, the forum has purposed to denounce both personally and professionally. The whole problem here is a result of management NOT DEALING WITH THE ISSUES! I don't see a lot of personal attacks on the forum. There is plenty of give and take, more than a few characters, but the issues of the YC, golf and advertising policies have yet to be dealt with to date. If policies, actions or performance is viewed poor by some or all, holding individuals responsible for those actions does not constitute personal attacks. The Board has scheduling some or all of these issues for opening rounds of discussion over the next few weeks. That is a good move. Don't lose sight of the issue or be distracted by chaff! Ted

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Aren’t we all just a bit tired of this negative, destructive behavior and, with the new board, wanting to move on to a more positive, constructive environment designed to find real solutions to our problems and better serve the interests of our membership? (per Mr. Beatty)
Since OPA has chosen to remove the Yacht Club advertising portion from the Courier, there has been an excess of venom on the forum directed at the GM, and Pudge. It appears that instead of dealing with issues, the forum has purposed to denounce both personally and professionally. Seems like the (forum) pot appears to be calling the kettle black when they accuse others of retailation. Now when someone calls the forum to task for its insults and caustic remarks and offensive tactics , one would think it would cause pause and be taken as a wakeup call. In answer to the Mr. Beatty's question, Aren’t we all just a bit tired of this negative, destructive behavior and, with the new board, wanting to move on to a more positive, constructive environment designed to find real solutions to our problems and better serve the interests of our membership?
