On motion by Dan Stachurski the OPA Board picks Design Atlantic as Community Center architect. 12/6/2005. After a fairly lengthy dicussion the vote was five in favor, with Janet Kelley and Glenn Duffy abstaining. Kelley was looking for answers about the contract and at one point engaged in a testy exchange with Stachurski. She said she was "amazed" that the board was even voting on picking the architect when board members had not even been provided with a copy of the contract.
