OPA Board passed George Coleburn motion to provide an assessment reduction for Ocean Pines lot owners who qualify under a similar county/state plan for reduced property taxes. Attorney Joe Moore suggested such a rebate by OPA might be a violation of the Declarations of Restrictions. Board passed motion anyway. Stachurski abstained. Sterrett and Cook voted No; Coleburn, Kelley and Venit voted Yes. Sterrett said he did not think it was a function of the Board of Directors. Cook said it should not be a function of a homeowner association.
