The OPA Board and Association members in attendance on 6/14/2006 heard ECC Chairman Walt Boge offer a public apology to local builder and Association member Steve Rakow. The apology was for Boge's letter to the editor of the Bayside Gazette. Rakow has threatened to sue Boge. In his apology, Boge said he did not send a copy to the OPA Board at or around the time he sent the letter to the Gazette. Later, however, Glenn Duffy said he received a copy of the letter four or five days prior to publication, but would not say who sent it to him. Apparently Duffy also forwarded the Boge letter on to other members of the board, with the exception of Dan Stachurski.
