What can the General Manager do to enforce Maryland littering laws as and stop the previously sanctioned littering of our streets by merchandise advertising flyers?



Motion for March 18, 2009 by Bill Zawacki

I move the Board of Directors approve the purchase of sixty-five (65) Yamaha “Drive” model golf carts from Golf Car Specialties, Inc. of Pottstown, PA, at a total net purchase price of $185,640 (plus sales tax) as proposed by the Director of Golf, the Controller and the General Manager.

This is the lowest overall cost bid out of five (5) purchase bids and eight (8) lease bids from three (3) different vendors. Funding for this purchase was included in the approved 2010 budget.


NOTICE: The following two (2) Motions are respectfully submitted by Martin Clarke for purposes of consideration by the Board at both the workshop and regular meeting on March 18, 2009.

1. A Motion Directing the General Manager to pursue a proposal to erect a permanent electronic billboard on Ocean Pines property along route 589 at a location which would offer the best exposure.

I move that the board direct the General Manager to pursue a proposal detailing the costs and design to erect a permanent electronic billboard at a location on Ocean Pines property along route 589 where it would offer the best exposure. I would expect the bid/proposals would be available for the board to vote on by our next board meeting.


2. A motion which would direct the General Manager to implement the plan for the improvements at the front elevation of the Yacht Club chosen by the board of directors.

I move that the board direct the General Manager to facilitate the construction of the improvement depicted in the final plan as agreed to be the board of directors. This should be prioritized and moved to the top of the list for immediate implementation by Public Works for completion on or before the end of April, 2009.
