Option 3 is probably the worst choice as it means tearing down a 10,000 SF or so building that is in good structural condition. I think the idea might be to get what we have in good shape and then add a separate gym / multipurpose room in the future if lot owners want to do that. Given the history of referenda around here, I think the signal from lot owners is to take care of what we have first, before adding anything new. The restoration of the existing Community Hall could actually take place without a referendum. We can get all wrapped up in another yes/no campaign or we can just restore what we have. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: What a difference having someone with building experience investigate building option! Kudos to Rakow and Clarke on their efforts. I personally like option 3. I believe that if option 1 or 2 were employed, we would be again looking at further Community Hall options in the very near future, because we would eventually need more space. I would also hope that option 3 would not be another project that would grow in price as it was undertaken.
