I believe OPA asked for the court to say tear down the porch and the court did. Doesn't mean OPA has to avail themselves of the decision. Most of us know nothing of the real facts to this case, but perhaps someone from OPA needs to step in and right what appears to be an apparent wrong. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Rick, I believe OPA asked for the court to say tear down the porch and the court did. Can't get much more draconian. As I understand it this is a very nice home with plenty of room to the rear for the porch and violates no county codes. This is strictly an arbitrary OPA issue over percent of lot coverage, an issue not even addressed in the DRs but "made-up" by ECC. Note as well that there have probably been many hundreds of allowed homes that go over the arbitrary coverage percent. |
