I was thinking something on the size of what people call a community hall. If they build such a room then it could be rented out to hold events and raise money. There is potential to rent out the current southside fire station to raise money. Some of the rooms are fairly large. But I see what you are driving at. A "community hall" size room, perhaps with partitions would certainly increase that potential. I don't believe anyone has seen the actual plans for the new OPVFD building. We'll all just have to wait and see what the OPVFD tells the BOD/OPA what they plan on building. I think that's right. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: The Southside fire station currently has meeting rooms. To my knowledge they have never been rented out. I didn't mean to say meeting rooms as we tend to think of a meeting or conference room. I was thinking something on the size of what people call a community hall.
