Nancy,

I am pleased that you can live with the decision the Board made to allow the FD to occupy that space.  Please note, however, that what you saw this morning are not the "plans."  What you saw were the second phase of concept drawings that indicate the way the OPVFD and the architects are moving toward. 

I want to remind you and everyone that I am not the spokesperson for this issue and was simply attempting to inform an interested member of our association of information still in the development stage.  I can assure you that some of us are considering the impacts on the open space, the members who live near by, and all of the members of OPA who will be served by the OPVFD.

For those who question the "need" I have shared your concerns and believe we could have provided more information to alleviate those concerns.  No matter what data would have been provided, in the end the numbers might not have been convincing enough to please everyone.  I do believe that our homes are aging, many have older wiring systems, and the residents in the north side will be somewhat better served by our taking this action.
