Last years operational loss is over $140,000.00. Had each and every member spent just $83.00 on food and drink the Yacht Club would have broken even. That's assuming the YC made a pretty good profit on that additional income. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Robert: The idea of what is essentially a minimum food and beverage quota is not new to Ocean Pines. As a matter of fact most "private" Country Clubs and Yacht Clubs do have a food and beverage minimum. We are all members of the Ocean Pines Association, Inc. which owns the Yacht Club like it or not. The cost of the building is part of our assessment and that is a fact. What bothers most is the gross operational loss generated by that facility. Last years operational loss is over $140,000.00. Had each and every member spent just $83.00 on food and drink the Yacht Club would have broken even. If the membership is not willing to spend $83.00 of their dinning out money at the Yacht Club then they need to tell the board what they want us to do with their facility. Marty |
