The other table got their steaks replaced and cooked properly and were immediately offered free appetizers to make up for the delay.... ...we got we're sorry. It's similar to going to a restaurant in which the server approaches your table, takes your drink order, brings the drinks and then ask if you're ready to order (off the menu). While waiting for your order to arrive, the server attends to another table which has just been seated, takes their drink orders and then proceeds to tell those customers about the "specials" the restaurant has that evening. So you scratch your head and wonder why the server didn't tell your table about the "specials", since some of them sound better than what you've ordered off the menu. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Last Fall at Ruth's Chris a place that SPECIALIZES IN STEAK...we ordered two steaks medium rare and they were well done...( it was one of their special 2 for dinner packages). The next table ordered two steaks medium well off the full price menu and they came in rare. The other table got their steaks replaced and cooked properly and were immediately offered free appetizers to make up for the delay.... ...we got we're sorry. Actually they offered to replace them, but it took so long for the steaks to get to the table and so long for the waiter to check on how they were...that we had already eaten the sides. Got we're sorry from the mgr too. I guess the lesson is not to order the 2 for special dinner. Order cheap and you are treated cheaply. It's a shame cause this was our first dinner trip to RC and we ordered the "inexpensive" specials as a test to see what the quality of their steaks were like before we spent big bucks on a future meal. Obviously we aren't going back to a place that didn't seem to be able to cook steaks. It just takes one bad experience to turn most consumers off to a restaurant. I do still like their onion rings and some of their luncheon items but haven't been back for them either.
