If you don't want to vote for Gomsak because the YC is still losing money there is absolutely nothing I can say that might change your mind because your fundamental premise is severely flawed. The premise is absurd in my view, but you are welcome to it, and can certainly cast your vote on the flawed premise. 52% of the country voted for Obama on what I saw as a flawed premise. It was their right, flawed premise or not. So, let's sum up -- Stachurski prefers Unger. Yet Unger approved the same budget you accuse Gomsak and all members of B&F and perhaps all board members of supporting. Since Stachurski is now your guiding light but Unger, like Gomsak, supported the budget and must certainly be more of a part of the YC problem than Gomsak, I suppose that only leaves Thompson and Dutch for you to vote for; neither of them voted for the budget in any way and neither has served on any committees recently. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: You are suddenly finding Dan's statements on OPA politics credible? My god, how I love this place. It would be impossible to make this stuff up. Yes, correct. The B&F Committee is an advisory committee. It reviews the budget, for one thing, prior to the board receiving it. Had you attended any of those budget review meetings you would see all the hard work that goes into it. Gomsak brought a level of professionalism and expertise that was much needed. 1:06:57 -Gomsak is happy the Board embraced the plan (this is what the B&F Committee recommended, IMO). The Yacht Club is STILL losing money, right? And your suggestion that membership on any committee indicates the committee members are part of the problem is incomprehensible to me. Let me elaborate further -- absolutely incomprehensible. If the committee embraced the GM's budget and recommended it to the board, that is my interpretation, yes. You still didn't answer my two questions; but instead chose to slam me for my comments. Good Job, Joe. |
