Linda, I did not even review the proposed release until after 11 AM this morning. I'm sure it will be posted on our website today. The announcement was delayed to ensure the the owner of Secreats was informed prior to seeing it in the press. He was out of the country. I think on this one you may be overreacting. We simply informed the press that we rejected the offer. Any additional information added to the story came from things that they already knew. It's over as far as we are concerned. Bill |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Bill: I am curious as to why the members of the OPA have to find out that the BOD rejected the Bayside Property lease in the newspaper. As much interest as there has been by the membership, it would have seemed more appropriate to post it on the website or, how about this - posting a note on www.oceanpinesforum.com, where you know most of the membership that is interested at all about the goings on in Ocean Pines, reads those types of communication. I am glad the lease proposal by Seacrets was rejected; I just question the authenticity of a local newspaper. I would have preferred to hear it straight from the horse's mouth. Regards, Linda |
