Marty Hi Marty, I see no reason to make Moore take away the encroachment because it does not make any difference to OPA as it is NOW, but I DO THINK that he should give us the square footage equal to that space back in parking. We own everything from the street back to and including our dock area and we should have ALL THE SPACE that we own available to us. He is using some of our space for access ..so we do not really have use of all our space for parking. I guess I am a bit sensitive about the issue because of the way OP people were treated on July 4th this year. I wrote about it in an earlier post. They need to re-examine their "parking lot attitude" regarding the space on days where they can expect the OP area to be crowded. It was extremely frustrating to be turned away from a place that had probably one hundred empty parking places. Could you please tell us what the new lease says, and if you have asked that we be given our space back in parking places? He is being rather stingy with us in spite of the fact that he can use all of the beachside parking that he wants at night or after 4:00pm. I do not understand why the BoD appears to be pussyfooting around Leighton Moore! WE HAVE SOMETHING HE WANTS. WE SHOULD BE CALLING THE SHOTS. I understand that the arrangement is very good for us...but he NEEDS WHAT WE HAVE! Nancy
