For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Is that what you are suggesting? What I'm suggesting is that since Seacrets couldn't get the 99-year lease it wanted in 2009, it got the next best thing. And the next best thing was protection for their encroachments by having the lease renegotiated. I can't blame Seacrets as it's a good business decision. Why would a 2008 lease be renegotiated in 2010 to the betterment of the lessee? One board member took great pride in a clause in the new contract saying if the lease was not renewed at some point then Seacrets would have to remove the encroaching structures. |
