I suppose campaign contributions are a matter of public record someplace. How would being an incorporated town give the gorilla any teeth? All that would do is cost us more money - mayor, city council, etc. In the case of the sewage treatment plant the county would still own it. The only teeth available for the people are votes; developers use lawyers. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Two quick questions. One, is there a report of commissioner campaign financing? (ie. dollar amounts from developers) Two, has there ever been a discussion of giving the 800 pound gorilla some TEETH by becoming aa incorporated town? |
