Our taxes are up less then 7% and our property values are down 35% in the same time frame.
Marty, Don't know what county you are in but my taxes from 2002 were twice as much in 2010. I did protest the taxes and won . I agree that the property values are down a minimum of 35% or more. In my opinion , I think the assessments in OP are in line and I am fine with the ample reserves. Of course you are entitled to yours. Cordially Bill |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Bill: Make all the fun you like, but a 48% increase in our assessments over a five year period and $6,000,000.00 in the bank is not very funny.
