Judy: "and in checking the Maryland State Case Information, OPA has filed many foreclosure cases over the years to collect past asssessments" To the best of my knowledge there has been less then ten (10) foreclosure actions against members who owe delinquent assessment in the last five (5) years. In fact I would bet on it.On the other hand, if a member doesn't have lattice around a porch, or an automobile with expired license plates on his property, coupled with a complaining neighbor, then you can bet your you know what they are going to get sued by the OPA. My guess is that is what you are looking at on line and there is a bunch. Marty |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Your remarks made me curious, and in checking the Maryland State Case Information, OPA has filed many foreclosure cases over the years to collect past asssessments. Perhaps it hasn't been that profitable considering the costs and time involved in taking owners to court, unless they are several years delinquent? |
