The BOD also claims in the propaganda notice that the increase in the reserves over the last 4 years will pay for the construction cost for the new YC.
I don't believe it claims that. I believe it claims that the now approx $100 per year embedded in the asssessment (with another and final $25 in the next budget if the board approves) will provide the infusion of funds over time to cover the cost of the YC by around 2015 and then other work on other structures like the Country Club and Beach Club. At this point in time the 5-year plan has not produced a reserve of $4.3 million for the YC project and OPA has acknowledged it has not. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Marty Did you read the info provided with your ballot. The new YC is proposed to last 40 years. That is a quote. So thw BOD wants to tear down the current 40 year old YC build a new YC and tear it down in 40 years. Have they ever seen frame buildings in the northeast over 200 years old. with proper maintenance building should last well past 40 years. The BOD also claims in the propaganda notice that the increase in the reserves over the last 4 years will pay for the construction cost for the new YC. Do the $30 per year for 4 years times 8440 members totals $2,532,000. They way I count that does not equal 4.3 million. Randy |
