For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Ted: "It is estimated that we will see savings in excess of 20% in utility costs in the new building vs the current structure simply because of the modern construction materials and efficency of the HVAC systems" Red herring alert! According to our 2012 audited statement the total cost of utilities, gas, oil, propane and electricity, at the Yacht Club in 2011-2012 was $87,397. So, by investing $4,300,000.00 we will save approximately 20% of that number, or a savings of $17,479.40. Shut the front door! You and I have agreed that the best way to cut utility costs is to close the facility in the off season. Marty |
