Section 5: OPA Board Subject: Vote YES on YC Referendum Msg# 839724

Charles, I do believe you are onto something about the current amenities working in unison and all having a sound reason to continue operation. I was very clouded by the recent referendum package. Whatever happens, the beach club needs more parking, maybe a two floor parking garage would be cool. Summer time folks flock over near the Ocean. About the YC though oh whoa is me. I am perplexed by the politics but I am ready to vote. I've keep changing my mind. Think I'll read on. The YC needs a better business plan for sure. I am not big on the catering aspect at all. | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: There are many reasonable, sensible, logical alternatives to this referendum which would never see the light of day if passed. A yes vote would deprive this community of the opportunity to develop a meaningful comprehensive business and marketing plan that should, at a minimum, address the potential uses for the Beach Club, the so called Yacht Club, and the Golf and Country Club with its scenic beauty. Our facilities should be working together, without redundancy or competition, to attract users. Vote yes, and you will ensure more of the same problems in the short term as well as the long term. |
