Joe,
Know this -- if the referendum fails something will be done, and done relatively soon. My guess is the board might well take the path of least resistance and start throwing money, up to $1.5 million or so per year, into the old building with no referendum. I think there is as good a chance that the board will say that they will not dump money in the existing building and unless there is an outpouring of interest in a one story structure, they will close and tear down the existing structure.
