However, the bathrooms are a joke.
I read, time and time again, that the beach club is the only amenity that makes money, but IMO it's the most neglected. That is 100% correct. Time and again, Board after Board has discussed replacing the bathrooms and have even allocated funds, only to put it on the back burner. One year they did try to placate us by installing faux marble sinks. It just made the joke more pathetic! Norm |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Over at the Beach Club the plan is to pave the parking lot for $200,000 (how did OPA survive with an unpaved lot for 45 years?); and $600,000 on a new bathhouse, unneeded in my view. Frankly, I'd prefer looking at a new beach club. The parking lot paving is simply not needed. However, the bathrooms are a joke. We bought our home 2 years ago and the beach club was the largest draw to the community (we are part-time people).
