We were looking at it in the late '50's when A/C was a virtual unknown and $3,500 was also an unknown quantity to the two of us.
Remember the after market AC kits that were sold? Big chrome jobs that fit on the tunnel under the dash. They also sold aftermarket seat belt kits. Somehow, somewhere along the line, I ended up with one of those chrome foots that fit on the accelerator pedal and a small one for the dimmer switch on the floor. |
