A golf course that we have in Ocean Pines is an amenity that will draw future buyers here. It is a tremendous attraction.
I keep hearing this anecdotally from individuals. However, if it was in fact so important then it seems there would be more golf members and less losses. Taking it away will diminish one of the lures of Ocean Pines. And making it open space might make it an even greater OP attraction for buyers. As you can see I am a strong supporter of the golf course and many OP residents that I associate with feel the same way. I certainly understand. Not everyone agrees. That's a good reason to have association members decide the issue in a referendum. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: 3% only joining is not the real issue. A golf course that we have in Ocean Pines is an amenity that will draw future buyers here. It is a tremendous attraction. Taking it away will diminish one of the lures of Ocean Pines. I am not a golfer, a tennis player. However, the golf course was one of the amenities that attracted me to Ocean Pines. As you can see I am a strong supporter of the golf course and many OP residents that I associate with feel the same way. |
