Arlene, couple suggestions:
- Send a note, not via the Forum but your regular EMail provider, to Bob Thompson CCIng the board of directors. An example of what I sent previously with the addresses required follows. - Attend the next open board meeting to lodge your complaint in person. - Watch the video of the board meeting of last Saturday where there was a lengthy discussion on derelict properties. - Joe's suggestions in a subsequent response to you are "right on" ! I think after attending the last meeting and listening to the discussion that there is "hope" that the board might start taking action on these properties. Ed |

Ed Hickle Today at 10:19 AM To: bthompson@oceanpines.org directors@oceanpines.org Photos 20140517_081721.jpg 20140517_081811.jpg 20140517_081852.jpg Download All As a follow up to my note below I'd like to update status regarding the "eyesores" of vehicles on the lot adjacent to me: - Both of these vehicles have not moved in the 7 years I have lived here. - One has flat tires and the other had large tree branch fall thru the windshield (unrepaired I might add). - I am 99.9% certain that the tags have not been renewed for years. - The vehicles cannot be driven and therefore could never pass any inspection to renew the registration - A county inspector was here yesterday and said they could do nothing as the vehicles are covered. - Eddie Chiles informed me that the OP Compliance staff could take no action as the vehicles are covered. I am just pleading that we use a little common sense in this community and issue a warning/citation whatever to the owner that something positive be done to correct this situation. Attached are 3 pictures of these "eyesores". I have not gotten any response or interest from yourself or any of the directors other than Marty Clarke. Please ..... do something !!
