I found out that they built over half of the trucks used in WW II
Bob, I believe most of those trucks went to Russia. I'm a Studebaker guy. As a child growing up on Bel Air road in the 50s I would attend the Sat. matinees at the Earl theatre then walk down Bel Air road a block into Fulker Motors and sit in the Studes in the showroom. How many folks know that in the early 60s Studebaker dealerships were where one went to purchase a Mercedes Benz? The Stude designers even put Mercedes like grills on the Larks to emulate them. We all know how that turned out. |
