Section 12: Fishing/Boating Subject: Reynolds Shows Striper Msg# 913785

About a half dozen years ago, I was on the board of the Singer Corporation. The annual meeting of senior management was held in Vancouver and the highlight was a half day fishing trip for all of us. The captain boasted that the previous day was so successful that he and the mate were jumping from line to another to help the guests. Not this day! Nada, not even a bite.
The next day, on my way to the airport, I stopped at one of the big fish stalls downtown and purchased a beautiful 3 pounder. Since it was a Tuesday, the fish guy even gave me the 10% senior discount. (I hate it when they don't even ask if I'm a senior citizen.) |
