I agree that recruiting a replacement GM seems to have been a big task here in OP.  So the board seems to tolerate a lot of missteps (perhaps grief) before going that far.   And there's been times of big dissatisfaction among the membership during those intervals where the BOD Pres. becomes the acting GM.  We thought that Tom Cetola was a good acting GM, but not others.

And the search for the new GM is no picnic.  Like Forrest Gump said "you never know what you're gonna' get"
