Please explain how any Comprehensive Plan approved by any Board of Directors is sure to last any longer than any four board members want it to at any given time in the future.

OPA boards can't really be said to have ignored reports. Boards look at the reports and discard what they don't like. In many cases that is 100%. One board did take some studies seriously and implemented what the studies suggested everyone wanted -- they built a $1.2 million covered pool.

Dericker, on video, told the board that the most important aspects of the entire work his group would do are the questions asked and that the questions had to come from OPA. At a meeting some months back the chair of the Comprehensive Plan Committee stated publicly that the questions did not need to come from OPA.

This is shaping up to be another covered pool fiasco, or even perhaps worse -- a Yacht Club design fiasco.
