For a number of years when I was at Chase bank in NYC, I was the banker to the United Negro College Fund. I later became an officer of UNCF. I am well aware of the statistics you cite and the effects of sickle cell. As you point out, it affects about 5% worldwide and about 8% nationally. (the worldwide statistics are probably underreported).
You confirm my point that those statistics do not support a 25% proportion of Federal EMT test questions. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Actually treatment for those suffering from haemoglobin disorders is different than the general population which explains the number of test questions. The tests asks these questions because of that fact and the fact that 1 out of 13 African American babies inherit this hideous disease and 5% of the world's population suffers from haemoglobin disorders. |
