Robert,
The VA supplying hearing aids does not automatically give the Vet a disability benefit of 150 dollars. Disability for loss of hearing has to be established as service connected as any claim for disability. The VA assigns a Veteran to a priority group 1 thru 8 based on military service history and your disability rating and your income level. Service connected disability is assigned a highest priority. The lowest priority is assigned to Veterans who have a higher income and who don't have any service connected disability's qualifying them for disability compensation monthly benefits. Simply stated, some Veterans make too much money to qualify. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: They will also do a full panel of blood work that you can go over with a VA doctor and get a copy so you can discuss with your own doctor. They also do podiatry and vision checks, if they issue you hearing aids you also get a monthly TAX FREE pension of about $150 a month. I have arthritic knees so they give me cortisone shots in both my knees ever four months, all free of charge. You should look into it. |
