Larry, I have no issues with you post. I hope some of the suggestions you refer to will help. I am not against golf, l played many years ago, but what the issue is golf is not supporting itself or coming close. Considering the lack of funds from rounds, and a much larger issue is the enormous capital expenditures which are not always discussed. One last thing, in my opinio, maintaining a park is much less than that of the course. Good luck. Bill | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Bill, My point is we will still incur cost to convert and maintain a park. Putting that aside, I don't think we should close the course. I think we need to find a way to run it and break even. There have been a lot of suggestions in the last week and some are worth exploring. As I said yesterday, I think the biggest issue is price and getting those of us in OP to play more. The course has been in great shape all year so condition is not a issue. Outside play will also help the financials. Whatever the plan LU has to add 10 members isn't the answer. I think we need to find the balance between price and rounds. While I have had nothing but good customer service experiences at the course, I have heard that is not always the case. This also should be addressed. I think the board meeting with LU is a good first step. Larry |
