For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Those old members are most likely either dead or have moved on in some other way. It seems most "younger" golfers today are happy to play once or twice a month at a resort course with an affinity group. Exactly. Marty and others are operating under the illusion this is still 1956. Dads no longer head for the golf course on weekends. They stay home and help with the children along with their partner working wives. Nor is the OPA golf "club" a club destination. The building is a dump. Nor will this area ever be a a golf place for high income executives playing during the week and writing it off for work. Some of these course are still around, and doing well, but not here. |
