I totally agree. Not only tacky but to me it is saying the Yacht Club food isn't very good so come to the truck instead and have a nice hot dog! Doesn't make any sense. | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I think the idea of a food truck selling hot dogs in front of the yacht club is absurd but if you have spent any time in a city like New York remember that there are hundreds if not thousands of the small push cart style hot dog vendors so maybe the truck isn't the worst idea possible, can you imagine one of our board members working the "Dog Cart" in the middle of July? Robert Yes Robert, I have seen the street vendors in NYC and also the lines of vendors on Constitution Ave. near The Monument and over near The National Mall. They are necessary to feed people. OP has a new kitchen, and a lovely waterside terrace, and we have spent 5 million dollars on what should be a lovely spot. I don't want to see TACKY!!! There are good reasons to have Food Trucks at events....but we have a paid staff to cook food and a nice place to serve it. Nancy |
