It does seem that you and I agree completely that the outside food system worked just fine. It was convenient and easy to do. That is why it was so popular.
So.....what is the deal with the Food Truck? Hi Nancy, As I understand the issue, the County has declared that the YC outside food operation last summer was in violation of some county rule and could not continue. The food truck, as I understand the issue, would be permitted by the County as long as the truck is a separate operation from the YC. While the Food Truck would be a new operation, it only replaces the outside food venue that was available last year at the YC. It is my understanding that the Food Truck will also be used at other venues in OP in addition to the truck being at the YC on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday evenings, along with Sunday afternoon. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Nate, Who cares about other restaurants and whether or not they offer food from a food truck. Many of the YC customers who come for the YC music found the outside food offering a plus and utilized that resource. They did not have to wait to be seated at a table and then order food through a waiter, and they did not have to place an order for food through the outside bar. They simply went to the outside food setup, purchased what they wanted and took it back to their seat. It was convenient and easy. That's why it was popular.
