My point is that the board more or less just rubber-stamped the GM's budget. The board's supposed line-by-line review is a joke.

• A $7,000 Indoor Digital Signage Package for the Cove. (this one buried in marketing budget).
• $15,000 for additional air conditioning in a new $5 million YC building
• $5,467 for new furniture for a reincarnated Java Bay Cafe
• $4,770 for glass table tops in the YC
• $5000 for the shuttle service that no one used the last time
• $55,000 for a food truck
• No money to fix the HVAC in the Country Club

The above just scratches the surface.

Few association members have actually looked at the budget. In fact, in order to look at the budget one must travel to the Admin building.

Finally, my point is the coming election will hopefully see three individuals elected who are committed to hiring a new GM.
