. . .. however no where do I see, or hear the need quantified . How many is many people? How often does this occur. . . .
Nate I'm on your same side of this issue, supporting your views. All very good questions you've raised. Seems you've defined this very well. And others have also mentioned the very poor economics. Estimated capital costs are $750, 000, and with fewer than 100 members it works out to spending more than $7500 per participant. A participant could be a member for 75 yrs at $100 per yr to pay for his portion ( its strange economics) Those kinds of capital costs would be far better spent on the beach club rest rooms. And much more bang for the buck, per participant I really think if the pickle ball group should step up and show their commitment by participating in the cost of whatever is being proposed. Yes yes yes Tom |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Neil, I understand your passion for the game, however no where do I see, hear the need quantified . How many is many people? How often does this occur. Since indoor is preferred or necessary in cold or bad or windy weather building new outdoor courts will do nothing to alleviate that problem. The whole issue has very clouded metrics. I really think if the pickle ball group should step up and show their commitment by participating in the cost of whatever is being proposed. |
