Neil,
I understand your passion for the game, however no where do I see, hear the need quantified . How many is many people? How often does this occur. Since indoor is preferred or necessary in cold or bad or windy weather building new outdoor courts will do nothing to alleviate that problem. The whole issue has very clouded metrics. I really think if the pickle ball group should step up and show their commitment by participating in the cost of whatever is being proposed. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Tom, thank you for your reply... Many, if not most players enjoy playing outside.. We appreciate the fact that during the colder months that we do have the indoor play available but let me ask you this.. Would platform tennis players be happy with their situation if you were told that you now had limited play on your courts because you need to share them with others that have them until 11 in the morning and unavaiable again some days after 3 because they are now going to be used again by a different organization ? I believe that platform tennis has unrestricted time to play on their courts which generally means that if you are going for a good workout you can play more then 1 game without having to take a 15-25 min break between games because so many others are waiting for their turn to play. What happens in the gym is since it is limited to time and days, many folks come out at once to play and you get a backup of those waiting to play |
