Yes, those social aspects are so important the board voted to do about $100,000 to repair tennis courts at the S&R Club.
I go to the S&R Club regularly biking Tobi. A lot of dog owners will appreciate the resurfacing as the courts are often used as a place to throw tennis balls for their dogs to retrieve. Occasionally the courts are actually used for tennis but not much. Years ago I had suggested that one of the courts be removed to provide room for more park space but tennis folks did not like that idea. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: No one has mentioned an important reason that neither tennis nor pickleball players get too excited about playing at S&R Club regardless of conditions. That is that part of the game is "social" and the social center for racquet sports is at Manklin. Yes, those social aspects are so important the board voted to do about $100,000 to repair tennis courts at the S&R Club. |
