However, until there is a board majority that does take control I still believe the majority of the blame lies with the board.
Ultimately the board is responsible for everything. However, I suspect you have not followed very closely the past six years and how the GM has operated. Is the board responsible for doing nothing after the GM misled them on several occasions where large dollar amounts were involved? The board must give specific directions, parameters and time frame for results. A good soundbite, but a tad laughable. Why? Because the only information the board receives on any of these various projects comes from the GM. The board obtains little or no independent information. If the GM or any employee of the Association doesn't meet those specific objectives it will then be time to consider personnel actions. As an aside, the board has only one employee -- the GM. All other OPA employees are controlled by the GM. |
