Larry, I believe we have issues at the Facilities Manager and Parks and Recreation Director level if a report was received regarding playground safety and was not acted upon by either of the people holding those positions. Is the GM ultimately responsible for the actions of the Facilities Manager and Director of Parks and Recreation, of course, just as the Board of Directors is ultimately responsible for the actions of the GM. That in no way excuses our Facilities Manager and Parks and Recreation Director to act on issues directly affecting their areas of responsibility. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Carol, The General, the Commander, The Captain, the CEO, the GM or whatever else you want to call the person at the top is ultimately responsible for what his/her organization does or fails to to do. Thus that is where the replacement process usually starts. Larry |
