Section 5: OPA Board Subject: Money is No Object Msg# 945298

Why would Terry push so hard to move the playground (as opposed to doing what should have been routine maintenance) if he did not want to see the master plan completed at some point?
Because the playground needs attention now and because there exists the possibility of completing the master plan in the future if it can be accomplished for a lot less money than the current proposal would require. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: No, unlike you I don't see a devious scheme around every corner when it comes to the board. Devious? Terry's intent is right out front. He wants that master plan, and he wants it completed. Ditto for Thompson. Given Cordwell's comments today a minimum of four votes could have been obtained to scrap the plan with Cordwell supporting such a motion. You actually gave credence to any of today's comments from Cordwell? "I'm done with this." Why would Terry push so hard to move the playground (as opposed to doing what should have been routine maintenance) if he did not want to see the master plan completed at some point? |
