Indeed, and because it makes sense is why six board members voted for Mr. Herrick's motion
The board majority voted with Herrick because the Terry-manipulated language of the motion clearly resulted in approving a motion to have the GM look into something. Terry, Renaud & Company risked nothing; they approved no actual work on the ground. I expect Stevens voted NO because he saw the futility of the motion insofar as it actually accomplishing anything. Those tennis courts mentioned in the Herrick motion are already being used as pickleball courts. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I thought Tom Herrick's motion was not only practical but perhaps the most cost effective manner in which to address the issue. In my opinion , whats wrong with moving the playground, bringing it up to safety specs, re-purposing 2 tennis courts for pickleball, building 2 platform tennis courts and calling it a day with the intent of reassessing the needs in 12-15 months? Common sense, a pragmatic approach to issues and a reasonably conservative fiduciary stance on spending the association's money ---- what a novel idea. I hope the list of candidates for the upcoming election posses some of these traits. Indeed, and because it makes sense is why six board members voted for Mr. Herrick's motion with Mr. Stevens the only one to vote against it. |
