I thought Tom Herrick's motion was not only practical but perhaps the most cost effective manner in which to address the issue. In my opinion , whats wrong with moving the playground, bringing it up to safety specs, re-purposing 2 tennis courts for pickleball, building 2 platform tennis courts and calling it a day with the intent of reassessing the needs in 12-15 months?
Common sense, a pragmatic approach to issues and a reasonably conservative fiduciary stance on spending the association's money ---- what a novel idea. I hope the list of candidates for the upcoming election posses some of these traits. Indeed, and because it makes sense is why six board members voted for Mr. Herrick's motion with Mr. Stevens the only one to vote against it. |
