| My personal opinion as to why Bob continues to spend,spend,spend on new & intelligently thought-out(at least in he & his "advisor's" minds) construction & facilities is to boost his resume/list of achievements in pursuit of a more "lucrative" job in the future. I'm sure he knows that his days here won't last forever. Didn't he run near or at the same time for County Commissioner as he did for O.P. GM? I seem to recall thinking that he was running for both at the same time,which seemed strange to me at the time because it would indicate a total lack of commitment to either,simply a fall-back plan. I could be completely wrong on this,perhaps the "campaigns" were just very close together. Either way,I still believe all this money being spent seems to me like an indication of further political aspirations,even though he would be taking a pay-cut in any political position. Sometimes ego overrules all else,though. | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Hi Peggy, I wonder why they would cut away any shrubbery that would hide that ugly thing? Any time that people notice maintenance that needs to be taken care of they should call the GM and tell him about it... within a reasonable time for it to have been fixed. It seems that spending money on new things is MORE IMPORTANT than maintaining what we have now. OP is looking seedy in many places, and we will not attract new property owners if things continue to get worse. This will affect the property values of EVERYONE. No one will want to purchase a home in a "declining community". We all need to speak up about this, and not wait for someone else to do it. The place that you mention is seen by LOTS of people every day! I will be there next week. I hope that a new fence or shrubs will be there by then. Nancy |
