From now on, I will make every effort refer to the Pines by the appropriate term. Though, one might make the argument that "subdivision " is a much less appealing term than "town." We have our own shops, police, fire department, parks, local governance, etc. While I'm not sure if that fits the legal, dictionary definition of "town," it's close enough for me. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Yeah, "our town." The town in which we live. Is there some further clarification you require? Berlin is a town. Ocean Pines is not a town. Ocean Pines is a subdivision, an HOA within the County of Worcester. Worcester County is our government. Should folks who live in River Run call River Run their town? Pennington Commons? If Ocean Pines is a town, it is a town where simply living here conveys no right to vote. Anyway, you can call this place whatever you choose, I was just inquiring as to why you thought Ocean Pines was a town. |
