Someone sending you an email with a story in it doesn't represent proof, to me. It may to you, and that's fine. But as far as I'm concerned, that's heresay unless you have something more substantial than "someone sent me an email." I can understand not wanting to endanger anyone by mentioning names. What I don't follow is why the content of this email which supposedly proves "arm-twisting" and "trumped-up" stories about whatever hasn't been expanded upon. Maybe you'll reveal all at the forthcoming meeting. Also, anytime you want to answer the questions people have been asking you about how you know what's on the tape, that would be fine. Transparency is important with elected officials, Mr. Clarke, as the current BOD appears to be discovering recently. --Patrick |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Robert: As you may know I have been around here for a very long time and enj many personal friendships with present and past Ocean Pines employees. One of those employees just recently shared a story by email about being approached by a director asking him/her to go public with a deragatory story about me in order to derail my campaign. I have no intention of revealing who sent the email because I don't want to put them in a bad light with anybody. So, please don't tell me that stories aren't being "trumped up". BTW, I wouldn't consider Brett Hill a "good buddy", I hardly know him. Marty |
