The fact that a modernization project is in the works is awesome.
Could we get rid of the trash cans first. No capital expense. Could we get rid of absolute dump properties. Better spent capital. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Another high hurdle is the fact that most of the really beautiful mail pavilions in Ocean Pines are maintained and financially supported bythe section in which they are located. The fact that a modernization project is in the works is awesome. And yes, technically funding for these projects would be a capital expense. The Parke has a mail pavilion with 518 mail boxes. We maintain the building and repair broken mail boxes using general maintenance dollars. The USPS replaces broken locks only. There is a Replacement Reserve line item to replace all mail boxes in year 30 at a cost of $41K. |
