When I resided in OP I would take it upon myself to move neighbors trash cans up to their house, usually on the side. When I would be going away for a time I would put my trash out in construction grade plastic bags. | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: You have been beating the trash can drum for as long as I have been reading the Forum. What is your idea for enforcement? Weekly patrols to confiscate offending cans? Isn't there that sticky entry on private property problem? Do the cans have to be completely removed from sight or just off the street? Or just fines? And of what magnitude? And do they escalate for repeat offenders? And what is the acceptable time allotment for removal from the street? Next day or next week? Doesn't twice a week collection cause a problem with timing the offense? I endorse the theory but doubt the possibility of reasonable enforcement. |
